Polymer Clay Kitties

For these kitties you will need
  • polymer clay (or any other kind of clay)
  • paint
  • an eye pin (if you want them to be charms)

Start with molding the cat's body. It is similar to a hourglass with the bottom rounded and the top pinched at the corners.

Next you'll need the tail. This will just be a simple little roll of clay. Bend it however you want your kitties tail to be.

Next, gently press the body and tail together. If you need grab a paintbrush with a wet tip and wet the back of the cat, making it sticky so that you can add the tail on.

Cut the eye pin down to size and press it into the kitty. Then, paint it however you want. You may want to add a gloss coat so that it doesn't look so flat.

Polymer Clay piggy

For these polymer clay all you need is
  • polymer clay (I used Air-Dry Clay)
  • paint
  • an eye pin (if you plan to make this a charm for a necklace of something)
  • and your hands

First roll pick out a small piece of clay, it can be whatever size you want. I made my charms very small. Roll that piece of clay into a cube, this will be the body

Next you need the feet. Pull out four tiny pieces of clay and make small balls.

Gently press them into the bottom of your pig's body so that they are firmly in place.

Next every piggy needs a nose. make a small oval and press it into your pig's face

The ears can be a bit tricky, the first time i made ears it took me a while to get the hang of it. Just make two small triangles out of the clay and slightly fold them inward on themselves. It might be a little hard to get them to stick to your pig without ruing them, but I found that if you get a paintbrush and wet the tip, gently wet the area you want to place your ears and it will make it sticky.

If you are planning on making these pigs into charms cut the eye pin to the length and push it into the top of you pig.

With the clay that i used it took two or three days for the pigs to fully dry. Once they are dry, paint them the color you want, you might want to add a clear top coat to make them look glossy.

Christmas Hand Wreath

Here's a great craft to do with your kids! I did this with the little girl i babysit and she loved it!
All you need it:
                • -green paper
                • -a pencil
                • -a kid's hand
                • -scissors
                • -glue
                • -string
                • -tape

Trace you little kid's hand onto the green paper. I bubble cut the hands afterward so that they could help me cut them out.

Cut the hands out and place them in a circle before gluing them together. I used two different shades of green so the wreath didn't look so simple.

Glue the hands together and there you have a simple and fun project. I taped string to the back of it so that it could be hung up, and i wrote her name in glitter to personalize it.

DIY Corner Bookmarks!!

Making these bookmarks is really simple and doesn't take too much time. All you need is
-paper (preferably paper that is slightly thicker than normal and that folds neatly)
           -mod podge (or regular glue)
           -scissors
I uses this stencil and print it out either directly on the paper I am using or I print it out and trace it onto paper that wont fit into my printer

Afterward cut the bookmark out and fold down the two flaps over each other. Then glue them down and decorate how you see fit! Some times I will draw the patterns on first before gluing them down.

There dozens of ways to decorate these bookmarks and they look great in the corner of every book!
